Travel sketchbook

The last six months we spent in Spain, on Canary Islands. It was not like travelling before the pandemic, but we wanted to be on the move and outdoors anyways. This time we took with us rock climbing equipment and focused on that. The diary of the trip is very much devoted to all that comes together with rock climbing. Above is the video of my art diary that shows the last six months of adventures in a nutshell. Hope you enjoy it.

About the progress

This two drawings drew my attention lately. The first sketch of the old winery in Fellbach, Germany, was done in situ with watercolors in 2014. I don’t have original anymore and as I was missing this particular view I started work on another version of the Winery in 2016. This time, I took pictures of a place, worked on the sketch at home two years later, but never finish it entirely. Just recently added some dynamism to the scene with the wine coming out of the roof. Do you like it?

Drawing Mexico – part I

I´m in Mexico since December 2016. Together with Mo we cycled 1500 km from Cancun to San Cristobal de las Casas where we´re gathering power for the next adventures.

Here are my first impresions of Mexico put on paper.

As always my travel atelier is limited to Micron pens, few color fineliners and watercolors.

Hope you enjoy it!

wine season

this sketch represents some of sorts of german wines. As a matter of fact, Germany is not only a beer culture country. Wine season goes parallel to Octoberfest and it is an equally interesting event every year. As I’m working in a winery making tests of wine quality, I try to collect new series of sketches. Welcome to my wine world 🙂

book release

On the 2nd of September I published my first book, ‘Sketches from the Middle East’.
It is a story of a travel in the Middle East. It is all drawn, so the reader has to re-interpret it by him/herself. Few anecdotes written in English and Polish are there as a clue how to read sketches.
The premiere was also successful – some photos from the event below.
